One Piece Figuarts Zero Camie & Pappug Figure Review

One Piece Figuarts Zero Camie & Pappug Starfish Figures

If there’s an award to be won for the most nonessential character captured by Bandai in the Figuarts Zero One Piece figures line, that prize is most likely going to the first (non-Kokoro) mermaid we see in the One Piece manga and anime universe: Camie! On her own, Camie would be a particularly dull figurine, but Bandai has wisely made sure that she’s not coming alone–she’s accompanied by her starfish mentor, Pappug!

Is this dynamic duo of OnePiece Figuarts Zero figures worth your dollars?

Bandai Figuarts Zero One Piece Caesar Clown Figure Review

Punk Hazard Caesar Clown Figure One Piece Figuarts Zero Bandai 2013

Caesar Clown is a character that I was pretty certain I was going to loathe the first time he popped up on my screen watching the One Piece anime. I thought he was going to be a lame rehash of Gekko Moriah (a character that makes me want to punch things whenever he’s on screen)–but as things have turned out, I find Caesar Clown to be one of the more refreshing and intelligent One Piece villains. I suspect figure companies didn’t have high aspirations for Caesar either, as the only major figure of the character released thus far has been the Bandai Figuarts Zero Caesar Clown figure. Luckily, he’s a masterpiece…

Figuarts Zero One Piece Film Z Brook Figure Review (Web Exclusive)

One Piece Film Z Brook Figuarts Zero Figure Head Close-Up

It’s probably good that Brook is my favorite character in the One Piece anime and manga for a couple of reasons. Firstly, toy companies don’t seem to make a ton of Brook figures, so I don’t go bankrupt trying to buy them all (and believe me, I buy virtually every new Brook figure that comes out). But the other reason is that it’s good that my favorite character is Brook is that every Brook One Piece figure that does come out is fantastic. Case in point is the subject of today’s review: the Bandai Figuarts Zero One Piece Film Z Brook figure!

One Piece Figuarts Zero Jinbe Figure Review (Bandai)

Jinbe Figuarts Zero One Piece Bandai Action Figure

After the bitter disappointment of not seeing a new One Piece Portrait of Pirates Jinbe 1.5 figure version announced at the 2013 Summer Winter Festival in Japan, I decided to curb my sadness by finally busting open the Bandai One Piece Figuarts Zero Jinbe figure! I waited months and months for this figure to go on sale for a good price on Amazon, and once it did I pounced on it. Now that I have him, I’m very pleased–Jinbe is an outstanding addition to the Figuarts Zero One Piece line and even a better figure than the MegaHouse P.O.P. Jinbe!

One Piece Figuarts Zero Basil Hawkins Figure Review 2013

Close-Up of Basil Hawkins One Piece Figuarts Zero Pre Timeskip Figure

I’m going to lose all credibility if I keep saying that every other Figuarts Zero One Piece figure released is my favorite one of the year–but man, do I love this Basil Hawkins figure. Basil Hawkins is one of the eleven Supernovas introduced during the Sabaody arc of the One Piece anime and manga, and though he doesn’t do much pre-timeskip, he was certainly a memorable and visually interesting character. So today I’ll be reviewing his first major figure release, the Bandai One Piece Figuarts Zero Basil Hawkins figure…

One Piece Figuarts Zero Gekko Moriah Review (Bandai)

Gekko Moriah Figuarts Zero One Piece Figure with Brick Bats

I haven’t had enough free time in a few weeks to put together a new review, so when it came time to pick the subject for my newest One Piece figure review, I knew I wanted to do something big. And so I thought, what could be bigger than one of the largest One Piece Figuarts Zero figures ever released?

He’s one of the Shichibukai (Seven Warlords of the Sea) and the main villain of the gothic Thrill Bark arc of the anime and manga–it’s the Bandai Figuarts Zero One Piece Gekko Moriah figure!

One Piece Figuarts Zero Franky Figure Review (New World Ver.)

New World Franky Wearing Sunglasses Figuarts Zero One Piece Bandai Figure

Though he is easily the most unpopular of the Straw Hat Pirates, Franky is still more loved than 95% of the named characters that show up in the One Piece manga and anime. Due to his immense size and crazy proportions, though, Franky is also toy companies’ least favorite member of the Mugiwaras. While MegaHouse will finally be releasing One Piece POP Franky Sailing Again Figure this summer (after two years of development), today I’m reviewing a Bandai figure that beat MegaHouse and everyone else to the punch: it’s the Figuarts Zero One Piece Franky New World Ver. Figure, and it is definitely SUUUUUPERRRR!!!

Figuarts Zero One Piece Nami New World Figure Review

Figuarts Zero One Piece Nami New World Ver Figure Box

Completing the triumvirate of reviews of Figuarts Zero One Piece figures that I’m frankly not crazy about, today I’ll be discussing the Nami New World Ver. Figure! Considering that Nami is a gorgeous babe, you would think every company would be churning out beautiful figures of her without a hitch. But, well… the MegaHouse POP Sailing Again Nami figure had problems I had a hard time getting past, and this …

Figuarts Zero One Piece Usopp New World Ver. Figure Review (Bandai)

Bandai One Piece New World Version Usopp Figuarts Zero Figure

While pretty much every Figuarts Zero One Piece figure Bandai puts out today is a grand slam, that wasn’t always the case. Bandai used to have a fair number of bunts or strike-outs when the line was in its infancy (Can you tell it’s opening day at Fenway Park while I’m writing this?). Last week I talked about the Tony Tony Chopper New World Ver. figure that didn’t exactly blow me away, and I’ll continue that trend today by discussing the first and thus far only Usopp figure Bandai has released: the One Piece Figuarts Zero Usopp New World Ver…
