One Piece SCultures Hody Jones Figure Released & Photos!

Banpresto Colosseum Hody Jones Figure Close-Up

If you read this site regularly, then you know that oftentimes I like toys and characters that the majority seem to hate. Case in point: Hody Jones and the whole One Piece Fishman Island arc of the manga and anime. While many fans thought Fishman Island was boring no drawn-out, I thought it was one of the most emotionally-charged and relevant arcs of the whole series–and Hody Jones among One Piece’s greatest villains. So am I excited for the just-released One Piece SCultures Hody Jones figure? You know it…

One Piece Figuarts Zero Camie & Pappug Figure Review

One Piece Figuarts Zero Camie & Pappug Starfish Figures

If there’s an award to be won for the most nonessential character captured by Bandai in the Figuarts Zero One Piece figures line, that prize is most likely going to the first (non-Kokoro) mermaid we see in the One Piece manga and anime universe: Camie! On her own, Camie would be a particularly dull figurine, but Bandai has wisely made sure that she’s not coming alone–she’s accompanied by her starfish mentor, Pappug!

Is this dynamic duo of OnePiece Figuarts Zero figures worth your dollars?

One Piece Figuarts Zero Jinbe Figure Review (Bandai)

Jinbe Figuarts Zero One Piece Bandai Action Figure

After the bitter disappointment of not seeing a new One Piece Portrait of Pirates Jinbe 1.5 figure version announced at the 2013 Summer Winter Festival in Japan, I decided to curb my sadness by finally busting open the Bandai One Piece Figuarts Zero Jinbe figure! I waited months and months for this figure to go on sale for a good price on Amazon, and once it did I pounced on it. Now that I have him, I’m very pleased–Jinbe is an outstanding addition to the Figuarts Zero One Piece line and even a better figure than the MegaHouse P.O.P. Jinbe!

One Piece Grandline Men Fisher Tiger & Arlong Figures Released!

One Piece Fisher Tiger and Young Arlong Grandline Men Figures Vol. 15 2013

Yesterday I talked about the just-released One Piece WCF Vol. 31 figures–the first post-timeskip WCF set to be released in the better part of a year, and speaking of series with big gaps of time in them…

It’s hard to believe, but the last series of One Piece DX Grandline Men figures (Vol. 14 with Grandline Men Brook and Chopper) was released over 8 months ago, in October 2012! I’m not sure why there was such an extensive wait between series, but luckily, the Banpresto One Piece Grandline Men Vol. 15 Fisher Tiger and Arlong figures have now been released!

One Piece WCF Vol 29 Hyouzou Figure Review (Banpresto)

One Piece WCF Vol. 29 Hyouzou Figure Banpresto

One branch of One Piece toys that I was pretty oblivious of until this summer was the Banpresto One Piece World Collectible Figures (WCF) line. The line isn’t nearly as famous as the MegaHouse One Piece POP Figure line or even the Bandai Figuarts Zero, and it’s not widely-imported to North America. But once I oogled the figures, I knew I’d be buying some soon enough. And thus, my first-ever One Piece WCF figure arrived last week from Asia: The greatest Fishman swordsman (sorry Hachi), Hyouzou!
